Mens Shed associations in Australia are:
AMSA (established 2007) is a charitable not-for-profit association and is registered as a Deductible Gift Recipient. AMSA is now the peak body representing Mens Sheds in Australia providing practical support and assistance. With over 1000 Mens Sheds registered AMSA is now the largest Association in Australia focussed on male health and well-being.
The ACT and Monaro Region are part of Zone Group 13
Originally these were called clusters. The ACT, Queanbeyan-Palerang & SnowyMonaro Regions were created in 2016 by splitting Zone 3 which also included the NSW SE Coastal Area. In 2017 they created a Zone which covers the New England & North West NSW Regions
28 Mar 2018 – Shed members Rick Causebrook and Peter Wilson attended a Men’s Shed Forum conducted by Nicole Lawder MLA, Member for Brindabella, on 28 March. There were a number of key points discussed and a suggested action plan was formulated. See here for notes and pictures
NSW South West Independant Men’s Shed Alliance (IMSA) is centred around central south west areas of NSW with Grenfell Shed strong in this group. Most members are in AMSA and IMSA is considered a Cluster Group within the NSW Branch of AMSA. Members of IMSA include Boorowa, Canowindra, Grenfell, Temora, Parkes, Cowra, Cootamundra, Lake Cargelligo, Young, Leeton, Griffith, Coolamon, Blayney. Think this is now Zone 4, although some may be in Zones 1 or 15
Mens Shed in New Zealand I was surprised to find this. They have some nice sites and flyers. There appear to be sheds in Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton and near Auckland
